Dioecy — a species whose male and female flowers are on SEPARATE plants, so any one individual is one sex. Latin-Greek for 'two households'. It appears twice in this episode, in plants that are not otherwise related: the common nettle and the red campion. Uncommon in flowering plants as a whole, where most flowers carry both.
